Author

Link Interactive is a Utah, family owned business that started off as a fire alarm company selling systems door-to-door to all their customers across North America. As time went by they expanded their product offerings to include giving people the opportunity the purchase security systems online through them so that means yes, here in Canada…we can use their security systems. There are however some pros and cons that you need to be aware of before committing to them. Here’s everything you need to know about Link Interactive.

Link Interactive Pro’s

According to many people Link Interactive has decent customer service so you dont have to worry too much about having to deal with terrible techs that hate dealing with their customers once you’re on board their program. Thats a good thing because it makes it easier for you to install their equipment in your home.

The company also has a good app and a security control website, which is great for novice users that are not tech savvy.  Some people like these guys because their system app allows you to monitor your home with cameras, and you can also receive texts or emails when a sensor is triggered in your home.

Other than their UI being pretty good, another interesting thing to note is that their monthly monitoring pricing isn’t too bad as well.

Link Interactive Cons

Many people report that this companies’ Skybell is pretty troublesome. Sometimes it works and at other times it doesn’t work at all. This could be a problem for for most people interested in the system. Link Interactive’s outdoor camera is know to be a hassle to install because it requires being plugged into an outlet, meaning you will most lightly have to hire an electrician to install for you, which will end up costing you more money on your end. Nobody likes spending more money than they need to.

In addition to that, you need to know that if you’ve been with them for a while, upgrading to the new technology on their systems is very expensive. This is something to keep in mind before making your decision.

Some people also complain that once they become new customers of Link Interactive…they sometimes find themselves getting billed for the full length of the contract instead of the month to month option which they originally signed up for. This ends costing them over $1000 on their credit card bill.

CONCLUSION

Theres a few things to like about about this company but comparing the overall pros and cons, I would suggest proceeding with caution. It is however up to you if you want to take a chance with them or not. My suggestion would be check out Frontpoint Security, Scout Alarm and SmartThings instead.
